It was January 2009, a late Tuesday evening, when my son, Tom, appeared at my door with a black cocker spaniel. He looked at me and said, "This is for you mom." I was so surprised, I never have had a dog before. To make me feel good, my son told me, "this is the same dog that Oprah has." I then decided to name my chien "Koko". My first thought was great he is black and fits perfectly with my home decor, but then my second question, and natural thought, for my son was, where will Koko sleep? Immediately I started searching for dog beds that would fit with my home and decor. Needless to say I was not able to find a bed that could fit with my decor or design. My son then told me, "why don't you design Koko a lavish glamorous bed like you always design for your clients" using the exquisite fabrics, colors, and textures that my clients always love so much. The rest as we all say is history. The result, Chien Vivant Couture was born.
